| Q: How long have you been in business? | A: Paws to Consider opened its doors in October of 1999. |
| Q: How did you get started as a pet sitter? | A: I decided to give up my "traditional" career path to spend my time in a more meaningful way, and to see if I could earn a living doing so. |
|
Q: Are you insured & bonded? and what exactly does that mean? |
A: Yes. We have a $1M general liability insurance policy – which includes a ‘care, custody and control’ clause which covers any unforeseen accident which could arise from our care of your pet.
A bond is additional insurance specifically for theft. It protects you and the business owner in cases of employee theft. We have had no claims in our 3+ years of business! |
| Q: How many dogs do you walk at one time? | A: Typically, we walk dogs 1:1, but do take neighboring dogs out together if the owners agree. |
| Q: How long are your dog walks? | A: All dog walks are 30 minutes from the time we leave your home with your dog to the time he/she is safe at home. |
| Q: How long do you spend with cats? | A: Cat visits are 20-30 minutes, depending upon how social the cat(s) is/are. |
| Q: Where are my keys kept - and how are they labeled? | A: Keys are locked in the office when not in use and they are labeled using your pet’s name. Your name or address are not used for security purposes. |
| Q: What happens if my pet sitter calls in sick? | A: Either myself or one of PTC’s walkers will cover any schedule changes. |
| Q: How were you chosen Best of Boston? | A: Each year Boston Magazine researches companies with the category of Pet Care. They try services anonymously and make the decision based on the service they receive. |
