Paws to Consider offers pet-sitting to clients who travel and cannot bring their pups with them. While we’re happy to provide in home or at our home pet-sitting, there are also lots of dog-friendly Airbnbs, hotels, restaurants, etc that you can bring Fido to with you. Even the airlines are fairly pet friendly these days! Always check the details of your hosts pet rules – some of them have size and breed limitations. Bring plenty of toys, snacks, food, and a good leash. Think about where you’re going: if you’ll be hiking in the woods – bring a brush and comb and check your dog for ticks or fleas at least once a day. Make sure you have a collar with an up to date ID tag and license. And if your dog is the anxious type who just wants to be home – pay attention to detail: bring their normal food and water bowls, try to make as few changes as practically possible while they’re away from home!
